Advice Needed: Would like to add top out spacer and/or coil spring spacer to OME
My one-year old OME front is sagging. I'd like to get the front sitting level with the rear, and possibly get the entire truck up another inch. I need to get some feedback/advice in the next day or two so that I can schedule this work while on vacation next Monday.
My current set up is:
Front: OME 881/91S, 1" differential drop spacer
Rear: OME 891/N86
A couple of things worth mentioning: 1) I tried to dissassemble the front struts myself so that I could install bamachem's 3/8" top out spacer, but the shop that installed the OME parts a year ago really tightened those nuts; 2) 4x4 Connection in Winchester, VA, who I will have do the work, will not touch the Tundra spring set up or even a mild 1" body lift.
Can my current set up above handle the following (this should level the front of the truck as well as lift it one additional inch front and back);
Front: OME 881/91S + 1" of lift from top out spacer(s)/extender(s) + 1" (Daystar/Revtek) coil spring spacer
Rear: OME 891/N86 + 1" (Daystar/Revtek) coil spring spacer
Will this set up be too stiff for daily driving? Does anyone have any concerns with such a set up? Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice.

OME 881 + 1" top spacer + 1" inside spacer = Broken spine (the one in your back).
Revtek does not make a 1" spacer.
Adding spacers to the OME 881s will make the ride significantly stiffer and the quality substaintally worse, in my opinion and experience with 881s.
My advice, scratch the 881s for Tundra coils and get a 1" body lift.

Thanks for your feedback RTdawgs.
According to 4x4 Connection, Daystar has a ~ 3/4" top out spacer that provides 1'' of lift. Or, I could use two Revtek 3/8" TOE-2's to get the same 1" of lift.
The top out spacers/extenders should not affect the firmness of the ride. How do coil spring spacers increase the firmness of the ride on a non-progresive coil like the OME 881?
If I could find an East Coast "Steve Schaefer" in the MD/VA/DC area, I would opt for the Tundra springs and a 1" lift. In lieu of that, I have to work within what the shop (4x4 Connection) is willing to install.

The top out spacers go on top of the coil top plate and do not additionally compress the fender. A spacer like a daystar or revtek go above the coil and under the top plate thus compressing the coil. Try putting 2 of Andy's spacers = 1" and see how she sits. I actually got 1.5" out of it. If your springs are sagging more than that something is wrong. Do you have a winch/aftermarket bumper?
I have pics of the top out spacers installed on my runner but photobucket is down for maintenance. I will post em tomorrow.

true, Mike, but daystar and revtek also both make top out spacers that sit above the top plate without pre-loading the coils.
(i know you know this, just wanted to state the obvious in case it'd help him get a clearer idea)

Thanks guys and girls. What is still not clear to me is how a coil spring spacer, when installed on top of a non-progressive spring, increases the spring rate and therefore the firmness of the ride.
Localmotion, I live in Mount Airy, MD and work in Reston, VA. My first goal is to get the truck level (I have a pair of bamachem's 3/8" spacers and the longer studs from Wheeler's). I had thought about lifting the truck another inch, but it looks like coil spacers with the OME springs is a bad idea, and 4x4 Connection will not install the 4Crawler body lift. Now, my wife wants to buy a ski boat so I may be going from 285/75's to 265/75's to help with towing. Another inch of lift and smaller tires might not look right, even if they are Goodyear MT/R's.

also, the hole that i have in the center of my spacers allows it to fit UNDER the top plate as a 3/8" trim packer (about 9.5mm thick) as well on top as a top-out spacer - i designed it that way....
each spacer will give approx 1/2" of lift.
however, if you want to fix the problem and have a better ride, then get a set of the tundra trd coils and use what you have for a 2" lift...
you already have one set, don't you? use one on top and one in the coilpack...
