Got my ARB bullbar on

I'm sure if you've seen one you've seen 'em all, but nonetheless here's a couple pics of the used ARB I installed last night on my tacoma.

FYI, installing the bumper seems to have caused 1/4" (38" to 37 3/4") of sag in the front of the truck, looks like I won't need that second spacer unless I get a winch. Of course the spings could have just settled some in the two months since I put them on.

I'm a little confused.....You mentioned that the SS Shackle Hangers don't fit early Taco's..but doesn't the ARB use the same holes?

Thaks for all the compliments, I made it myself in my spare tiem out of bondo and chicken wire, then I got an ARB plaque off of ebay.

Gapguy, I'm was basing my "no fit" statement on what Schaefer told me, since he doesn't list them for my year tacoma on his site, I PM'd him to see what was up, he told me that the early years were more like the pevious "trucks" and as such his hangers didn't fit. If he's wrong I bet he'd watn to know, since it would an increased market.

And yeah, I need a winch, and tires, and sliders, and a locker, and second job :pat:....

I'm pretty sure winch is mentioned about six times in the group buy suggestion thread that mike/xtremeoffroad started, but I think he's so busy being a dad he may never get to check it again. Ah well, even witha discount I need to hold off on buying more stuff for a bit. Tires will be next tho, since they are a wear item.

Hey, anyone who's done this install give me a hand, how do my stock skids and the ARB skid go on? The bolt holes on the ARB are differnt on each side, yet only one side matches both the bumper and the front skid bolt holes. Am I just a fool? Hard to get it worked out with my current 72 hour work week (one day off).

Thanks guys,
Ian

Ian, I have no idea about the arb, but chances are you probably can just mark where the holes need to be and then drill them out. I'd wait though, and see if someone else posts up.
