shock dilemma
I've got my cruiser coils in, and I'm getting kinda tired of jarring my teeth....I believe its time for new shocks.
Just not real sure what to get. My rig is my dd ,so mainly sees pavement, with the wheeling on the weekends and fishing (down trails) a few times a week.
I'm on a calloege student budget and am thinking probably either Skyjacker or Pro Comp unless someone is seeing some deals that I'm not seeing.
I know 4Hummer and Paul H. have skyjackers. Does anyone else wanna chime in on them?? I found some Nitros for 170 to my door, how does that sound?
I know several are running the pro comp 3000 series. Are the 9000 series much better? I know they're only a few bucks more per shock.
I'm also not real sure of the amount of lift I got from the coils, but am thinking 3-3.5". That about right?
Thanks guys!!

from what i beleive, the 3000s are a softer shock than the 9000 from everything i have read....
i am running the procomp es3000 in the rear and they are tons better than what the ride used to be.....

if i were you, i'd save up for some bilsteins... mainly because i have them and i think theyre awesome.
theyre not cadillac soft or anything of course, but theyre really tough and i think suit a truck just right.

Thanks for the replies guys!!
Lee-Bilsteins would be nice, and I've heard nothing but good for them, but by the time I would have enough saved, I dont think I would have any teeth left
BLKNBLU-Thanks for the PM, I'm looking into them right now
4Hummer-I'm kinda leaning towards Skyjacker, where did you get yours, and Nitro or Hydro?
