Downey 1.5HD rear coils are on!
#1
The Downeys are on
, and while we were in there we replaced the original shocks with 9" Doetsch MV-12s which were recommended by the folks at Downey. So far the results are excellent!
The rear came up 2.5" (measured at the hitch) and the truck now looks level. (See attached pics.) I took it "offroad" on a construction site, and the rutted two-track that serves it, and I could really feel an improvement in the ride and handling. I'll try it out soon towing my boat and box trailers and I'm pretty sure I'll be please with that as well.
Thanks to all who helped me get this done!

Thanks, guys. I wish I had done it a long time ago. Probably would never have done it had I not come upon this website!
As far as the headlight aim, the long thin screws above the headlights do move them up and down and I have them shining pretty close to where they were before. I haven't determined what adjusts them side-to-side (not related to the butt raising) yet.
I do love the new ride and look these coils & shocks gave me!

That's all I did too - just moved the headlights down a little.
I actually went to a nearby church and borrowed their wall after dark.
Draped one headlight with cardboard and adjusted the other light to
waist high - while parked 30' away. I then swapped the cardboard and did the other side. Worked out pretty well.

Honestly I don't know how you spend a dime on your truck with that other beauty sitting out front. Espcially with audiworld around! They have some crazy deals come through that site! Ive stayed away from other forums just for the fact that I'm on here way too much as it is!

Seriously. I've got so much dumped into the S4...it's not even funny. I could have had a 996 C4

Did you figure out the headlight-aiming issue yet?
