This is just inquiry survey. I would like to know how many miles do owners have on the original 4runner auto transmission before, they have had to change or rebuit the transmission. Also, what kind of maintenance do you do to give your transmission a long life.

I have 184,000 on mine.Still shifts like new.

 

I have 140K on mine (a340h). I get it flushed and filled every 50K.

 

I've got about 110k on mine - flushed every 50k or so, no problems.

 

I have 237,000 on my transmission - filter change and flushed every 50,000
miles - shifts like new and never a problem.

I wheel my runner on a regular basis but travel 70 miles a day commuting
as a daily driver. This Toyota is by far the best all around vehicle that I have ever owned and it has been paid for forever ! I like NO payments

 

235,000....flushed every 50k. It's still running great.

105K miles, flush and new filter every 50k running synthetic Mobil fluid. Mine came with a tranny cooler from the factory, surprisingly.

 

About 123k miles on mine.

 

My 1990 has a factory transmission cooler - kind of small but apparently it works - I pull my 20 Sea Ray several times a year and also a 1976 model
12' pop - up camper - no problems.
