That's the sway bar. The torsion bar is the black bar that begins at the front of the truck (near the shock) and ends under the doors.

That is your sway bar.

T bar is here.
Mine is white because it is aftermarket, the Sway Away 25mm ones.

The torsion bar is straight and runs from the frame behind the wheel to the A-arm.

The more you crank the stiffer it gets. Most people don't go over 1.5 inches of 'crank lift' cause it puts the cv's at a gnarly angle. It takes quite a few cranks to get er movin' too. Mine are cranked about an inch or so and I have not lost any ride quality, but that's because I have about 145lbs of winch and bumper up front. If you get em too tight, you can always back em off a bit until you get the ride quality vs. lift you want.

Oh yeah, when measuring your lift you should measure from the top of the rim, not the ground. It will be more accurate this way.

Looking at the rust on that area I would recommend a generous dose of PB Blaster, WD40 or such the day before. Spray the top of the bolt where it screws into the nut. The good news is if you break one they aren't very expensive or hard to replace.

But when they break, they usually put a nice hole in your floor.
