22re question

I just had the head redone on my project 4runner and reassembled it, I sent to a mechanic to have him check over all my work and make sure everything was straight, he did and said everything was good, set the valves and all that good stuff, well i get it back and it hesitates to 2000 rpm and once over that runs fine, it even idles good, but if you are in gear with a load on the engine, it hesitates, the reason the motor was diassambled was two burnt valves, what is going on, I have no idea and I am not going to tak it back to the mechanic and definitely cant afford to go to toyota dealership??????????help please???

How about cleaning the T.B. You probally have already done that though. I also think the tps could be it.

it was the timing, two teeth off on the cam gear, timing light was showing it was at 8 degrees but the cam gear was not reinstalled in the right spot
