Finally installed SAW/OME lift w/ pics!
Well, it took a while to get all the parts, but I finally got everything together and installed a lift on my 4Runner. I went with the SAW/OME lift package from Mike @ Xtreme Offroad (nice guy to work with) and also installed some custom made front sway bar discos, a panhard drop bracket, extended the rear diff breather and took off the running boards. The ride is so much better than stock and I love sitting up higher.
Now I just have to go test it out on the trails.
I made need to get me some sliders though.

AHHHH....Good looking 4runner I think I have seen it before. Let me tell you something about this guy....I have know him for close to 15 years and we are great friend. The only difference we have never been able to over come is that he loves toyotas and I love Nissans....
A few years ago he helped me put a 3" suspension lift on my Frontier (damn you for not letting me help with yours)..since then my truck has gotten bigger and more armoured...I am glad to that he is finally trying to catch up.
Someone tell him that he can and WILL be able to make every trail at UWharrie (cause Uwharrie aint no tellico).....he's kinda a newbie to this off-roading stuff.

Johnny, you should consider leaving the tires and rims you have now and getting a set of 15" rims like I have (black rock crawlers) with some 33" Wrangler MTRs for when you get off-road (which I would imagine might be more often now).....
MTRs aren't cheap and they wear much faster that you would expect from daily driving.
Like I have my BFG ATs for daily, but I throw on the Superswampers for Nissan events and competitions. It's a good chunk of change off the bat, but if you go though 4wheelparts (uhg) and get the tire replacement warranty it's worth it. I can replace a blown Superswamper with 50% or more tread left for $20...and since I don't use them on the street, I'll have 50% or more for years. I have already replaced one BFG that I tore the sidewall on for $13.....and my MPG doesn't suffer from using superswampers all the time.

I did get an alignment done, but I guess two of the adjusting bolts on the bottom A-arms have seized up and couldn't be adjusted. The parts are only $14, but it would take two hours of labor on each side to install them. That's another $200!
I'm pretty close to spec as it is, so I'm just going to have that all taken care of after a trail run at Uwharrie at the beginning of October.
