Hello! I've been looking at various photos, but cannot seem to understand what this open hose is on my 1989 2.4L 22re... photos below, zoomed in and circled in red. Anyone got any idea?? Much appreciated!!

hose, or pipe?
Imagine it was part of the air injection system and it got mostly removed when the headers were installed.

 

Gotcha! Thank you! It’s a pipe. I see… so headers negate the need for it?

Where can I get one of those battery hold-downs?

I appreciate all the help!! I learned of what i believe to be an EGR delete, so it’s a sawed egr pipe line I think… though left in the engine bay. Once I get some time off class, I’ll be doing more searching
