E-brake light

Everyone I shift from 1st to 2nd and then 2nd. To 3rd the e brake light comes on the dash for a little bit then disappears. And it’s only on those two gears so I’m just wondering if anyone knows what’s happening.

Odd indeed, obviously check your brake fluid level which will randomly cause the brake light to come on, I also had an issue with the parking brake sensor switch down by the firewall got bent a little somehow and the tab that hits the plunger was not resting on it causing it to intermittently come on.

BUT not sure if any of that will help and it’s kinda weird it just in that gear changing area…

Is the light on when you're at a stop also? That's what mine is doing and I suspect the float sensor isn't floating much so once the little bit of fluid gets back to the reservoir it's just enough to go away.
