3 1994 Toyotas front end noise

All 3 1994 trucks when it's below freezing, as I leave the house, and up to a few minutes in to the drive will squeal relative to my soeed in the front end. Stops after a minute or two
Engage the 4 wheel and it quickly. Stops. Doesn't do it above freezing. My present 94 4X4 does it intermittent all the time below freezing. What could it be?

My manual locking hubs squeal randomly in below freezing temps. But they do it when locked and in 4wd, not sure why when you put it in 4wd it stops, mine makes noises regardless unless hubs are disengaged….

Do you have manual hubs??

I do. When I put it in 4 wheel drive, it doesn't stop the noise immediately, but with a second or two in first gear going slow. Everything is nearly new in this truck in terms of the front end and 4 wheel drives

With the hubs disengaged does it still make the noise?

Sorry for the delay. No, it stops then.

It is like a belt, pulley, or front diff issue.
Spoiler

why would it be a belt or pulley?

So I have had the same thing since I’ve owned my truck and the hubs have been rebuilt, it’s only in subzero temps. Maybe someone else will chime in but from the threads I have read I don’t ever see a solution or answer if it’s just cold and a normal characteristic of the hubs just being angry and cold

Mine I think is coming from the bushings that are at the CVS shaft as it enters the back of the baking plate. It's fairly involved to fix. All 3 of my 1994 trucks made / make it and so I'm not too concerned about it. I'll replace them eventually
