85-88 22RE Throttle Body part identification

Im cleaning and replacing gaskets/hoses on my throttle body. When i took everything apart I noticed that these fittings are kind of trashed. Can I replace them?

Thanks

Yes, and then no. Followed by a maybe. Those pipes are pressed in, but can be removed without too much effort. Iirc i just used my heat gun till i could pull/rotate out with pliers
Once you get the pipes out you can tap the holes and get replacement pipes that screw in. Now, I've done the one on the right easily.
I've had a tougher time finding an adequate one for the one on the left. The length, combined with the bend, makes it more challenging to source.
I'll do some research later today and give you the size you'll need.

Ok. the tap I used. 1/8” 27-npt. If you google 1/8” mnpt hose barb you’ll see various fittings that could work.
Heres a picture of a spare IACV that I experimented on. It had pipes like yours, but everything in the valve itself was stellar. Again, the only struggle I’ve had regarding the throttle body pipes was finding one long enough to replace the one with a bend. The short one was easy.

Thank you very much..I put it back together for the time being.

In my search I saw the LCEngineering big bore TB. It'll put a dent in my wallet, but I plan on making this thing tip top anyway...any thoughts on that set up?

Tbh, I’m leaning more towards putting a surge tank/plenum, including the throttle body, off a 1990 22RE. It’ll use the vastly superior idle control valve that’s integrated into the throttle body. There’s only a few parts that need to be replaced to make it work, and I’ve already got the new hoses. I think the only real work will reclocking the TPS.

From what I have seen while researching and reading, the bottleneck is the head and valves so adding a bigger TB won't really add anything until the flow is increased on the other things first.

I watched a video on the TPS and bought the shims just in case I needed to do that.

Is it a big pain in the ass to do the plenum swap? I was just thinking about that too because my plenum is insanely dirty, and if I pop it off might as well UPGRADE! 😂
