HELP! New to Yotatech. Replaced cam now no start.

Hello to all Yotatech members! I am new to this forum and need help. I replaced the camshaft but know I have a no start issue. Engine cranks but does not start. I believe the chain may be of one link. Everything looks ok to me but something is not right. At tdc the cam sprocket and crank are at 12 position and distributor rotor is pointing to the #1 firing position. Any help to a backyard mechanic would be appreciated.

Seen a a few car build shows and YouTube videos where the new engines won't start. The just crank. Turns out the distributor was 180 out. There are two TDC in a cycle. Maybe the rotor in the #1 position that looks right is on the exhaust stroke not compression. I'd rotate the engnie until the rotor points 180 opposite the remount the distributor back to the #1 position. Male sure the plug wires are 1, 3, 4, 2.

Your timing chain and sprocket alignment looks like this one in an instructional web page on how to replace the timing chain.

Great to find the fix. Happens to TV experts too. Saw that on Counting Cars episode.
