tickticktickticktick 5VZE

My rig is a '91 pickup with a swapped supercharged 3.4L from a 2004 Tacoma.

It ticks like hell when hot and under low load. With some throttle the tick fades but it's loud at idle.

It's NOT the valves... all in spec. Any other ideas? I plan to go to a heavier oil. It's 5w30 mobil 1 in it currently.

It's not a VSV, is it? I mounted my VSV's to the fender, and I thought the ticking was something else. If that's it, it's normal.
