Need Hood Scoop Pics

I bought a Toyota hood with the scoop from a junkyard a while back, but it was missing the black grill insert in the scoop. I ordered the grill piece from Toyota for $12, but I'm thinking that there is a another piece that goes behind it-maybe it is a solid black plastic piece? Can someone take a pic of the scoop up close?

Also, a pic of how the grill portion attaches? It did not come with any bolts for the holes in the scoop-I'm thinking of using double sided tape.

There is a black scoop piece behind it. it is secured with 4 screws from underneath. The grill appears to sit just inside the plastic. So it looks like the grill is not secured with any screws but sits inside the plastic and that pushes against the front to hold it in place.

Hope that helps.

Looks as though I need to order another part. Is it held in with 4 screws or 4 rivets? The diagram on the Toyota computer did not show any screws?

4 bolts...they come OUT of the plastic box and you secure it underneath by screwing on nuts. I am sending you an email with the pictures attached.

Let me know if you need more.

You probably aren't going to find one. They are the first to go, plus by the time you have it sanded down to prep it to re-paint, you might as well get a new one...

I got lucky and found one undamaged and the same color as my 4Runner-there is a slight color difference due to fading-but you can't tell unless you really look close. I traded my factory hood and running boards for this hood scoop hood.

I'll try to get you some pictures, but today is really busy. I don't know if the pics on my website would be helpful as they aren't close ups, but check em out anyway if you like.

Talking Bamachem

Bamachem bought a new hood scoop hood, due to a wreck, and put it together and painted it himself, just less than a month or two ago. PM him about the details and what parts you need and what you can use off your old hood.
