Washer fluid nozzle replacement/upgrade

Washer fluid nozzle replacement/upgrade
I've been searching around to try to find a lead on washer fluid nozzles that will fit the hood of my 95 4runner. Pretty much all the information I've found online is for the newer generations. Has anyone found a good replacement that will fit the hood holes and give a decent spray? Thanks in advance.

Me, if I had a Toyota vehicle, and I needed a part for it, I might try Toyota. https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/pro...oduct=16072604 I can understand trying to find a lower price (this part is available on Amazon, and eBay, and the price is higher in both of those places), but it sounds like you've "found" nothing at all.

Auto parts stores, amazon, and rock auto. I've purchased a couple from Amazon that either didn't fit or they wouldn't spray past the cowl. I figured my next step was the Toyota dealership, but I'd like to upgrade to a better spray. I'll check out the link. Thank you.

I've never purchased that Toyota part myself. I like to think I can utilize YotaTech to find out what works, and what doesn't work. So you'd do us all a solid if you listed what you've actually tried that didn't fit, didn't spray well, etc. We can benefit from you've already done, and perhaps avoid your mis-steps.

I've tried these from Amazon and one other that was just too big for the hole in the hood. The set pictured that are threaded fit but they're of such poor quality. The hole thru the middle was the same diameter as the fluid hose so it had no pressure pushing out. Auto zone sells Dorman universal nozzles, but I've been told by the managers that they get returned immediately. For this reason I didn't risk my $20-$30. The one that looked like it would fit was also a single sprayer.
I was hoping to find another vehicle that uses one of the same hood hole size or similar enough to make work. A known good universal would be great too.

I'm with you...I get two streams from each nozzle like a squirt gun on my windshield not a spray pattern like the new cars. For my 89' camry the 2011-17 Honda Odyssey ones are a perfect fit and have a perfect spray pattern, one of the guys on that board figured it out because he also has a 4runner and somebody figured out they fit the 3rd gen 4runners. They don't fit my 92' pickup hood holes though.

Dorman makes a universal one that goes in with just a jam nut on the bottom and sprays with an aim-able fan pattern. I bought them for my 4Runner when the cowl induction scoop I put on (to clear the 4.3 swap) covered the factory holes. I liked them so much, I bought them for a few other older cars. Bought them at AutoZone, at the time.

The kit above is what I used and got it off the shelf at the red auto parts store.
They are a little larger than stock but they do drop right in and include a 'key' to adjust the spray.
I also took the time to remove the W.F. tank to clean out the gunk and scale sos not to pump that stuff into the new nozzles.
Good Luck!

Oooooo fun, I may have to order a set, so I take it for anyone that knows or replied to this thread that got a set, they screw from the backside and obviously don’t clip in like factory, so has anyone had issues with them spinning out of adjustment? Or does the seal keep them set? I just get nervous about changing things from the factory, even as small as this.
I do get it though, the two sprayers just kinda pee in weird spots and I have to spray way more than needed and if you’re on the highway going 80 it’s a whole other story

found these lower cost units nearly identical to the previously linked item.
Edit:
After installing these lower cost units they do not have enough vertical adjustment to clear the spray above the wiper arm. NO BUENO! So back they went to Amazon and I installed the originally linked Dorman units which have an excellent vertical adjustment and were able to be aimed to my satisfaction!

I’ve aimed them when I got my truck, maybe I’ll re visit the aim before I start changing things…..I also got another daily so I don’t drive it much anymore unless truck stuff is needed. I may just totally leave it be
