How did this happen, bent distributor rotor

Hey guys, I just got a new distributor cap and rotor from LCE Performance and I just pulled the cap the other day and the rotor was all bent out of wack. It was installed correctly and I couldn't tell when it happened. Has this been a problem for anyone else?

I've never seen that, but it sure looks like you had the cap slightly cocked when you first put it on. Then one of the contact pins pushed down on the tip of the rotor.

I assume it ran. Well?

It was running smoother with the newer parts but I am still trying to track down why it was jumping timing at idle 4* to 8* and all over the place, the new cap and rotor didn't seem to fix it. I guess it must've been not on totally straight when I ran it but I think I have the knowhow to put it on correctly.
