Analog clock wiring ?

I've an 85 C&C pickup/Dolphin RV and I want to install an analog Jaguar clock (fits the large square dash hole left of the glove box). I fpind an open 4 wire socket behind the hole, which may be for that purpose. I can't find a reference for a clock or that socket on wiring diagrams. ANyone have any experience with those?

I know I'll need alway-on power, dash lighting power, and a ground.

From 1988 4Runner Schematic.
Should function same but not sure about wire colors, so use a multi-meter to check each wire function.

Thanks to RAD4Runner I got enough info to find correct color codes to finf power and ground to tap to make the Jag clock work. Hope to tap into gauge cluster illumination for the back light so it dims the same as gauges. Fits perfectly, snaps in place. May need to pull the cluster again for access (put in a 4Runner "real" gauge cluster previously)

I have a factory clock if you want a plug and play option.

Did the OEM wiring harness for the clock come in all models? I have a STD '86 I'm wanting to install a factory clock in. I thought I saw a 4-pin connector under there when I was replacing the heater control cable assembly.

I am not 100% sure all models have that wiring, but I would say a large majority do have the wiring, if not all.

The connector you saw is most likely for the clock.

Thanks RAD! I have the same wiring diagram but your "Wiring for Dummies" helps the electrically challenged like myself. Hopefully I can find that pin connector.

I found it! Some idiot (maybe the guy typing this post or the installer from Circuit City years ago ) wired the radio into the PIN connector for the clock. It was pulled down and hidden behind the radio. Once I pulled the radio I could see I have some rewiring to do. But I did test the clock and everything works. (Footnote - My '86 has a different color code scheme then the '85 Service Manual shows.)

I also found the wires for my cigarette lighter. Yeah! Now I can use my 1990's Uniden Radar Detector.
