Broken 90 3vze crankshaft cap
Hi all, new to the sub!
Helping my nephew work on his free 90 4Runner. It had no compression in #6. We pulled the engine, flipped it over. And heard metal falling!
We pulled the pan and found that 6 had snapped a connecting rod which broke the corner off of the weird 1 piece bearing cap, that’s the only damage found. My question for you all is where can I get another cap? I was thinking it’s just the corner of the cap, maybe it’ll be fine to reuse, but they designed it that way for a reason yes?

An image would help to judge the damage.
I think that each one of these main bearing girdles is matched and line bored to its specific engine block.
They are made this way so as to make the lower block/main bearing line more rigid under load.
