Motor mount heat insulator

Hey everyone, 83 pickup, 22r long block, one of my motor mounts is missing the metal insulator that sits in- between the block mount and the rubber vibration dampener. Any thoughts on where to find a replacement? Anyone here have one to spare? I checked rock auto but it was a no go. Thanks all.

As far as I know, new motor mounts come complete with the spacer on them. OEM parts still available for half LCE's price, sometimes less if you shop it well enough. Aftermarket ones are even (much) less.

Sure you got the right page on RA?

Swords would you be able to recommend a good site for OEM parts?
That was the Rock Auto page I was looking at, but unless I've overlooked something (it's happened before) I believe they're all the rubber vibration dampeners. None of them seem to come with the rounded metal plate that sits between rubber and block mount.
Below that page on RA is another listed Motor Mount Heat Insulator but it only shows the heat gasket for the exhaust manifold cover.

Here's a picture if it's any help to get everyone on same page, it's that rounded metal plate on top of rubber that I'm looking for. This picture is from a set of complete mounts on eBay, and while it's an option I was wondering if anyone knew where to find just that one piece.

I know what you are talking about, but I do not have any spares.

I have not seen any aftermarket versions.

I think your best bet, if you do not want to purchase a new OEM mount assembly, is to post a "Want To Buy" ad in the Classified section here and/or contact Yota Jims used Toyota parts in Denver, Colorado.

WolfMann -

Great question, I should have thought of that but now you got me thinking & I remembered something. For the OEM stuff I usually used Toyota Parts Deal (https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/), at least as a lookup source, for the older stuff. Looks like I might have found them!

https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/...361-54020.html

Looks like Toyota sells them as a unit with a new motor mount. I also cast about on the Google on that part # (12361-54020) & found this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1236154143-...AejC:rk:1:pf:0

It doesn't look the same, but the part # is the same, & it appears to be an OEM part. It appears that the aftermarket parts omit the shield for some reason. My '78 doesn't have them & I wouldn't have an issue using aftermarket pieces & running without the shields. Motor mounts are pretty robust units.

That's a great website Swords, thank you, I did a little looking around and found this, need to double check and make sure it's the part I need but it's the best price I've seen yet for just the one piece. Looks like I got the name wrong too, might be a stabilizer.

Amazing what you can find with a parts number, it looks like this part is called a stabilizer (12381)and I believe it's the one I'm looking for, may have been used on a couple different engines.
