I don't know the correct name for it but I think if your truck does not have AC, you will not have it if I am correct on that.

My truck has AC and it still works with out that spring thing. I have seen it before in my engine but i never thought that it would fall out of place. Now im trying to replace but I can not figure out the name of it, thanks for the help though! By the way, i have moved that spring before and it would change my idle to high or low, depending on how you would rotate it.

Now I am not sure just what year the were no longer used.

You would have a fitting on the pump if you need one

Screwed into the pump with two nipples

But it is the valve for the power steering pump

One line goes over to the power steering pump the other one comes off the manifold I did not look just where.

If it came off it would be hanging there some place .

A/C idle up valve. Is used to bump the engine idle when the a/c is on if idle is too low.
