I will start installing the Blazeland LT kit this weekend. I'm going for more of a crawling set up rather than a PreRunner. (Please keep any SAS to yoselfs) Just put on 35s and having 4.7 gears put in the t-case. I also have a 3" BL so clearing the 35s shouldn't be an issue.








Nate has been super helpful and patience with me picking his brain. Was going to go the Deaver Mini Pack or something similar to match the 3" of lift from the Blazeland kit. However I now thinking of going with something with a little more flex/ articulation. Deciding between the 63" Chevy mod or keeping it a bit simpler and getting the TG 3" superflex springs.


63" chevy springs seem to have great flex but seems iffy on life span and if they'll have enough lift for the weight of the 4runner. Also not to keen on having the hangers that far forward.
TG 3" superflex rear springs seems like they should be better in terms of flex than the deaver mini pack and should raise the 4runner enough to level it out. even if it only raises the back a couple inches I could relax the Tbars a bit.
I bought 5100s they should be GTG for either the 63s or the TG springs or should I go with 5125s?
I'm leaving right now towards the TG springs but if you have took the time to read this any positive insight would be appreciated.
I'm sure I call Nate again tomorrow and bug him again too.

AllPro Expedition springs for 96-03 Tacomas measure out to be the same dimensions or close enough to fit our 4Runners. They are heavy beasts, are super nice and will allow you to achieve the lift you need without the front and back movement of those chevies. I'm looking to do a LT to gain articulation and a wider stance myself and I don't want to do major rear fender/wheel well cutting, so I have to find a spring that isn't long like the chevy's are. I mean dudes run chevy's all the time, but they hack the crap out of their fenders... and that's not kosher for me. However, I will say that I am more than willing to tub the front firewall and do some minor front fender trimming to allow for full tuck at full lock. I would encourage you to remove your body lift eventually to keep your center of gravity lower. Regardless I like your idea about keeping the IFS.

 

 

Payne thanks for the input . I'll check out the Tacoma springs. All though I don't mind relocating the hangers for the TG springs.

 

Well I've committed to 63 Chevys. We'll see how it goes.

 

I like the 63'S for the money.

Thought about 12" shackles with the upper mount on top of the frame for more articulation?

 

I went with ford 56" Springs off a 2wd 98 f150....they seem perfect for the weight of my runner and their not too long as to get hung up on stuff
