1st gen 4Runner (89) brake upgrade question
i am trying to piece together all the parts i need to upgrade my 89 1st gen. brakes , i have done the search and research on here and know what parts i need , but when i picked up my master cylinder for a 95 v6 4x4 4runner i got one for a 4 wheel abs disk , is there gonna be any problems hooking this mc up does it matter that its a for 4wheel disk with abs i dont have abs and the master cylinder only has two ports and the reservoir and the plug for the warning light and the ports are even positioned the way the ports are positioned on the the original mc, so need to bend the brake lines to line up with mc, it is thou the 1 1/16 bore mc but gonna run the 96 t100 brake booster and 95 4runner calipers so not worried about the 1 1/16 bore size , iknow everyone is using the 1" bore but heard the 1 1/16 will work fine. ok please tell me i should be fine using the 95 4runner mc with 4 wheel abs thanks.

If it only has 2 ports then you are probably OK. The difference between ABS and non-ABS may just be the size, maybe compensating for having to push more fluid into the ABS system. Just guessing.
Try it and see.

http://flic.kr/p/q1bJHt Painted the calipers today with duplicolor caliper paint kit , came out super nice , this wAs after two coats brushed on , looks new ! , think I'll do one more coat for kicks , the paint has ceramic in it so can handle high heat and according to some reviews I read lasts for years without fading or peeling off.

Would you mind posting pics of mechanism between brake pedal and the booster or the master cylinder? I feel intermittent binding on mine.
TIA

New master , new brake booster , new rotors, got new hawk front pads , used 1995 4 runner calipers , why would it be a nightmare to replace my brake parts , I just buy pads for a 95 runner ? Or mc from 95 runner , or booster from 95 t100 , pretty simple , but I got all new oem parts at that.

Greatly appreciate it, Sir!
The threaded rod is the one that is linked to the brake pedal through the firewall, correct?
and there's really not much I can inspect for binding unless I un-mount the booster from firewall, correct?
Except, that I can disconnect the rod from brake pedal and inspect the pedal and bracket alone?
Is it pretty straight forward to remove master cylinder and brake booster from firewall?
Thanks again!
