Floor boards get to warm, which makes the inside of cab feel to warm. Should i insulate the floor boards?

is your gear shift boot bolted down? my old 2wd had like one bolt in and tons of heat would come in there. once i bolted it all the way down it was fine again.

I used "peel & stick (or seal)" , from lowes, kind of a poor man's dynomatt. Works but you still should have the heat shield underneath above your cat.

Trans and transfer case fluids low will also generate excessive heat
