I have a 22re 91 p/u. I dont know what the timing is on it.

 

You have to jump the t1&e1 terminals in the diagnostic port next to your fuse block. That will step down your idle. At that point you can put a timing light on it and check/adjust it as needed. If you just got the truck. Most people due a tune up. Just don't use Bosch plugs cap or wires. Ngk if your on a budget and denso or Aisin if you can afford it. Also replace the fuel filter.
