Help with part identification

Hello,

I'm looking to get rid of my air pump and swap to a different compressor bracket. I ordered one from a dealer and it was wrong. Same year as mine but 22re. The pulley stuck out to far. I need someone to tell me if they have this bracket on their pickup truck and if it's the orginal bracket. If so please post the year and if its a 22r or 22re and even better the VIN so I can order the EXACT one I need. Pictured here is what I need:

You see how the adjusting bolt is facing you? That's the right one.

From what I have seen Toyota used two different style compressors that is why the brackets can be different.

just what is wrong with your bracket other then the bearing and the tensioner being seized .

which you can buy all the parts for.Or you could

just what year engine are you working on most all the VIN have been purged from the system that old.

so maybe your parts people just guessed .

I have that style compressor on my 87 4Runner.

LOL. I didn't say my bracket bearing and tensioner were seized, because they aren't.

My parts people didn't guess, I did.

You see I have a 1990 22R pickup truck. It has a carb and an air pump. My compressor bracket put my compressor high up near the head of my engine and the air pump down below. My air pump is the actual tensioner. On your SUV you have no air pump because you're probably fuel injected. Your compressor sits low like where my air pump currently does and has it's own idler pulley. I want to change styles to yours. My parts source can still pull VIN's. Your bracket will work but one hole will be off because your compressor is slightly different on the 4runner. It would still work for me though.

I ordered a 22re for the same year as my truck but the pulley wouldn't line upsee how it's too far out?)

Have a look at this thread as this is what I want to do:

I still need this bracket. I have found out what I need though finally. 1986 PICKUP (not 4runner) Federal spec (not CALIFORNIA) 22RE Bracket.

Correction this bracket did not work! It's close. The top left bolt hole is not offset like mine. I believe what I need is from a 4runner and looks like this:

Notice it doesn't have those two triangular holes in the center. ANYONE out there know for sure what this come from?

I am sorry I Think I forgot all about it unless I sent you a PM.

You might end up having to change a few of the pulleys to get everything to line up.

Yeah well I got the right bracket but it still didn't work because the crank pulley was a 1/4 inch off as I have a late model compressor. Oh well. Selling both brackets in the classifieds soon.
