93truck 22re swap into 88 4 runner

Blew the motor in the 88 4 runner 22 re. Got a 93 22 re cheap to drop in out of a pickup. Both manual. What all needs to be changed? I know injectors. Couldn't find a thread to help me enough. Put the 93 in and piddled around ( I'm not good with wiring yet) turn the key over and get nothing except a click on the starter relay on the passenger side fender? Where do I need to start checking an swapping

Did you swap the TPS from the older motor to the 93 or did you change the wiring?

Did you use the starter from the 93 or 88? Could the starter be frozen or need new contacts?

What wiring have you hooked up?

it would be easier to keep the 88 harness in place. Just swap the injectors and TPS from the 88 onto the 93. It makes sense that the motor won't turn over with everything unplugged. Even if it did turn over, it wouldn't run.

There are links here on Yotatech and on Pirate4x4 that have the PDFs of the factory service manuals. Thats what you'll need.
