Mr. Clean AutoDry?

Anybody trust this stuff?

Looked kind of interesting...nothing beats a nice hand wash but I was just wondering what you all thought of it.

A local news station consumer reporter demoed it and gave it two thumbs up.

Works as advertised! Used it today on my '03 Prerunner. No drying and no spots.

Payed $18.00 for mine at Advance Auto Parts. Comes with a a starter filter and a small bottle of soap. You can buy the kit and replacement filters and soap at Wal-Mart also.

So it really works? I have been wondering if it actually lives up to its claims ever since I saw the commericals.

With spring almost here, I am probably going to pick one up!

I think how well this works is directly proportional to how hard your water is in your area....

Same thing in San Diego county... and our water is all sorts of hard.

I think the biggest thing though is the fact that you're running water the entire time. Elsewhere maybe not too much of a concern but here in So CA with our drought like conditions probably not the most resource practical solution to have.

Besides, hand dry and wax is a good way to get to know your truck's surface

I would just be curious to know if it leaves some sort of a wax or something on the surface. Theres got to be something there, i doubt its magic

the filter de-ionizes the water removing minerals that causes the spots. not sure about the soap, but i'm sure (although its not recommended to use diff brands of soap in the unit) you can apply diff brands of soap in the standard fashion and it'd still work. Just rinse using the mr clean thing.

My dad has used it on his taco and his audi s4 and loves it. He lives in san diego like tacoma dude. He is a stickler when it comes to cleaning cars, so I trust him when he says it works, though he said the soap didn't last him that long before he had to get another bottle.

Thats the kicker. They get you hooked and then you gotta keep buying the expendables.

Might be good for a quick post-run cleaning but nothing beats a good hand-wash & wax with an under-carriage wash-down to get all the dirt off and bring out the best in your truck.
