OFF ROAD LIGHT wire arc and I'm an idiot, NO SPARK! I have checked everything

man I'm lost. I had a wire from my off road lights arc out behind the dash and now my truck wont start, well it turns over but has no spark.

I have swaped out the coil/ignighter, main computer, magnetic pickup inside distributer, and the fuse and relay are good.

the EFI fuse was blown but no its good since I replaced it.

with key-on, do you have 12v on pin 3 (Black-Red) of the ignitor? Pin 1 (also Black-red) of the ignition coil?

Have you seen any burnt or melted wires under the dash from your arcing wires??

All these parts you replaced were new ??

it is possible one of them was bad out of the box.

Known good used parts tend to corrode at times unless the plugs are coated with dielectric grease

Check all fuses...possibly remove any unnecessary accessories (fog lights for one). Pull each fuse and inspect. If you have an ohm meter, check for a fuse having higher resistance.

What circuit were your lights attached to?

Is there anything else not working??

Just what did your wire arc against ??

Because other then the ECU/ECM the EFI Fuse and EFI relay have nothing to do with the ignition.

Now if you said you were not getting fuel that would be different.

A dead short to ground just goes back to the battery.

Why you had no protection is the circuit is your business your lucky the truck didn`t burn.

I figured it out. the timing chain that I just had installed broke. not even a few miles out of it. just a weird coincidence of the arc the same time the chain gave out. So yea I have to do the timing chain job all over again! ahh damn Cheap parts stay away from ebay junk.

I am glad you figured it out.

Just one of those freak things that was unrelated to the sparks.

your lucky the chain did not jam on the crank sprocket .

That is crazy... Specially being that it occured right after the spark... That would definately not have been my first place to look. Glad to see you figured it out. I had an issue with mine not starting and it was due to a wire from the main harness infront of the Intake manifold and was not able to figure it out until I took the thing apart.
