Well...we need to know what kind of vehicle you're driving in order to make suggestions...

Are they stock rims or aftermarket rims? 31s shouldn't be rubbing if you have stock rims. Also, 225/75/15 is not a rim size. It's a tire size. If you read that on the door sticker, that's the factory tire size. Rims are usually measured like 16"x8". 16" being the diameter of the rim, 8" being the width, for example.

Oh I'm sorry . Yeah I don't know much about tires at all . 31.10.50R15 is what it says and I believe they are stock rims but have no idea . I do know that they do rub on my wheel wells and it makes it kinda hard to turn because they are always hitting the walls . It is from 91 so there is a little squat and I wanted to try and fix that as well with the lift but just don't want to lift and have tiny tires and end up flipping over and don't want to get too big of tires and end up not even being able to drive at all because they would be too big ..

First off post some pictures of the 4Runner. Ones that show the wheels and fenders would really help. If 31's are rubbing something is going on that shouldn't be.

As for lift... Read this https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...-thread-41616/

This should answer most if not all of your questions.

Likely aftermarket wheels with less backspacing than stock. Factory offered a 31" tire option in that time frame and 31s fit fine.

You can do some trimming inside the front wheel well to help with the rubbing:

i could see how Toyo MTs will rub when a stock size "should" fit, the side lugs are huge on those tires, I have some on my truck. like stated already, it's also possible you have aftermarket wheels on your truck - so first figure that out. also, it's possible someone touched the t-bars in the front and it's sitting too low - what is your distance between center of axle to bottom of fender lip?

I'd go with 33x10.50 km2s. no lift.
