SWB vs LWB Actual frame lengths.

I have a nice frame located pretty close to me. Guy doesnt know if its a swb or long. He's gonna put a tape to it tomorrow for me.

Anyone know the lengths off the top of thier heads? I looked and looked.

Thanks. Frame has extra pieces welded om very back below rails...like they tried to use a long bed at one time.

Here is a pic...its the frame on top....

Thanks in advance guys. Would never be able to do any of this stuff without you guys. I appreciate it.

quicly that looks like a SWB, but the pic could be misleading, I know somewhere I have the entire frame dimensions, allll of it. Let me look that up for you. By the top of my head I think it's 110'' vs 103'' wheel base but I could be wrong.

Is that all metric...having a hard time seeing. Inches would be ideal.

All I need to know is the year(s), to be 100% certain. From what I can see, it appears to be a pre-84 SWB on top of an 86+ SWB. But it could be an 84-85 SWB or LWB(or even a pre-84 LWB). So if I'm going to go on just those years:

Pre-84 SWB = 156.77"
Pre-84 LWB = 169.21"
84-85 SWB = 162.32"
84-85 LWB = 171.57"

Measured end-to-end.

And those extra tabs were probably for a bumper or a tow hitch/receiver.

Theframe on top is the one we are concerned with is a 1983 good sir.

Trekkers have a swb frame. Would be nice to get this to start the project with.

Just want to make sure before I drive 150 miles...lol.

$100 bucks..cant pass it up.

Ouch!

You could shorten it. But that's a lot of work. And not as easy as it sounds to do properly. As in having it come out good and straight, and as strong as it was before.
