cv shaft vibration?

Can worn cv shafts cause i vibration even with hubs unlocked in 2wd? i get a bad vibration/shake around 45-50 nomatter what, speeding up slowing down coasting, anything. i found both shafts have some play but they arent moving with the wheels when the hubs are unlocked right?

but all the shake is in the front end coming through the steering wheel, i can take my hand off the wheel for a second and hardly feel anything in the seat/floor. i also tried swapping out the 32s for stock size tires up front and its a little better but still there

I'm with Oregon. When I my idler arm was bad on my truck, I had a vibration between 45-50, thagot worse over time. Check your front suspension components and go from there.
