So it doesn't do it all the time be it seems to happening more often than I used to. When I am driving at 30 mph or so and I come to a slight incline I give it a little more gas and the vehicle starts shaking, or shuttering like on a manual transmission vehicle when you are lugging it. I you give it a little more gas it will down shift and then is fine. Also when it shutters if you manually down shift it goes away and it then fine. It seems to me like it is in OD at 30 mph or so and you give it a little gas for a slight hill and it is not downshifting instead it is lugging in OD. What do you guys think in going on? Oh and it has about 85k on it...seems way too soon for tranny troubles to me. I am thinking of doing a drain and fill on the trans, do you think that may help?

 

you sure it's a trans shutter and not an engine issue? approaching 90k, when's the last time you gave it a tune up? might be the engine stuttering under a load at low RPMs and then clears up when it down shifts and gets into a higher RPM band
