1UZ swap exhaust manifold/header fitment

Im starting the 1uzfe swap into my 2nd gen 4runner but can't find clear answers anywhere as to which headers manifolds will work with ifs.
I have both sc400 and ls400 engines with manifolds but have read that the flanges hit the frame rails.
I've also heard of using tundra manifolds, or aftermarket tundra headers with the flange moved farther back down?

Does anyone have a real answer/solution to this?

yes I am familiar with the search bar

If I remember correctly the LS manifolds are the most "compact". I've heard of the tundra manifolds working but havent seen them. The factory tundra manifolds are kinda crude log style...and very prone to cracking

I have the 1uz in my 94 runner. I have a build page here as well.

The best solution is to use tundra manifolds from a 2000 thru 2002. You will need to cut the collector off and weld some smaller flanges off. Then they fit like butter.

I do know the pipe diameter is much smaller then the ls units. I think I might play with mine later and see how much of a difference they make, but this will get you going and work well

If ya need parts let me know I have another SC motor and some more ls stuff too. I build motor mounts and a new aluminum radiator for this application as well

I am on vacation so I can't get you an exact quote, but we will be in the $500 range shipped.

here is the ls manifolds cut and cleaned up for welding. i cut off the flange for the egr i will be welding a patch panel over it.

i haven't decided on my coupling devices be it flange or slip fitting, im more leaning toward the slip fitting i already have.

I need to get the trans mounted to the engine to set up the crossover pipe.
