Slave cylinder help please
So I crawled under my toy after I got my replacement parts and I noticed that the rubber boot that goes in the the trans is pulled out and not sealed. How much damage is done inside where I can't see lots little none? I am going to put my slave and master on today. But I would like to get some experience on what if anything I can expect to fix next.
Thanks in advance

With a touch it just popped right out

i dont even run that little rubber boot, mine disintegrated during a trans swap. It holds nothing in, it just keeps dirt out. Replacements are easy to come by and if you get one you should be able to get it in there fairly easily without taking anything apart. easier still if you unbolt the slave.

you betcha.

you can get one here, if you decide to pop in some fresh rubber.

Got it all done. Thanks. All I need to figure out is proper clutch pedal linkage adjustment. I know I have to loosen the nut and turn the shaft. What I don't know is do I screw it in to lessen of increase clutch free play. It feels like I have more clutch than I ever had in this truck.

Yea I took your advice on gravity but I uses air pressure to help. It worked great. My question is the fork that pins to the pedal had to be unscrewed from the master and reattached after the master was fit through the fire wall I was just hoping I got it put back in about the same place

I paid a bit more attention when I drove her today and I feel like my clutch release point is higher than it used to be. Not sure if that's just no leaks in the system or what. I would like to have it closer to the floor for release if possible by not the end of the world. It does shift nice again and it should be easy to adapt to as well.
