Pretty sure you don't have drums on your front IFS......

84 is SFA, not IFS. However, you sir, are posting in the wrong subforum. This is the engine swap forum. Also, search for what you need before you ask.

That's okay. SFA means solid front axle, and IFS is independent front suspension. Solid axles are usually stronger and more desirable to have in wheeling rigs, as you can get more flex out of them and they handle abuse better. IFS is only good really for comfort, day to day driving, and offroading that doesn't require a ton of flexibility, like mud bogging or dessert racing. Well, the dessert racing does require flex, but it is more logical to use a modified IFS. Anyway, head over to the main page, go to forums, Toyota truck and SUV tech, 84-85 trucks and 4runners, and just look around til you find a disk brake conversion thread. Shouldn't require to much searching.
