Zuk Mod but no bottom bumper guard
I have an 22r 87 4x4 pickup, I bought the springs for the ZUK Mod. However, I noticed yesterday that on one side the lower bumper guard has fallen off somehow. Is there another way to successfully mount that side without that bottom guard? I am no welder and the place I am doing the work is a storage shed and my power is minimal. I wasnt sure if I could somehow use U connectors to stabilize the bottom, or something along those lines?
Any help would be appreciated,
thanks

I did a quick search but couldn't find it...I think ZUK (he's a member here too) fabs these and sells them but I could be wrong.
maybe just search boneyards for a replacement? Or pay a local welding shop to weld some up from your existing plates?

48306 BUMPER SUB-ASSY, REAR SPRING 48306-35130 ~10$
Think it costs me more than that to get to the self serve salvage yard in the city

I actually cant believe that rubber is just glued down. I see most of the mods just putting the spring right over that without securing it in any other way. I would think it could shift at the bottom and easily tear that piece of rubber right off.
My truck isnt sagging in the back but I figured it was an easy mod that would help the quality of the ride. However, it seems like the front is were most of the emphasis should be on mine, thats where all the roughness seems to come from.
I replaced the read shocks with the Rancho 9600, tomorrow I plan on doing the front and taking a look at the other components. It starts to get addictive, you just want to replace everything so it looks nice and pretty underneath. I have a BMW M3 as my primary driver and if I put all this money into that I could have the fastest one in the state lol. But I have always love the old toyotas, I used to have a 4Runner and finally found a good priced pickup that I couldnt resist.
Thanks for the replies, I am a newbie and love the site.

Correct. I was concerned about shearing that rubber off, too, so I asked the forum about it, and so far no one has experienced that. Maybe it just so happened that the spring lines up with it well even during flex. When my truck was on a lift for some work, I saw the bottom end of my 1-inch springs lifted off the bumpstop and they stayed lined up. (Top of my springs are secured by screws, as seen in my write-up). That's why I like Zuk's spring perch/cups- except that they would let springs sit right on U-bolts.

Can we see the glue
I really thought that was molded around something. It's not really relevent to the mod the upper stop takes most of the task to position the springs, the leaf spring takes care of keeping the axle in position.*shrug* What do I know I need captive spring perchs either way
2wd spring under
