My 88 Toyota pickup with the 22rte decided to blow a head gasket last june, i rebuilt the top end and just last month the inner seal in the turbo went, and now i have coolant being blown into my combustion chamber. It is only $225 to get the turbo rebuilt but i am sick of the 22rte and i am going to swap out out with a plain old 22re. But considering i will be swapping out the wiring harness, i was wondering what year wiring harness and injectors i should get for it. I am just wondering everyones personal opinions on what year 22re's has the best engine wiring harness and injector setup.

 

If its any help. Ive got a 22RE in an 86 with about 30k miles on it for sale.For the right money you can have the harness and all you need. or by the whole truck.
