The tag in my door frame was painted over with rhino liner and i was wondering if it was possible to get the rhino liner off without taking the info off the plate

 

Depends on what you're working on. Some are printed, I think, and some are imprinted, such as my '84. You may be able to scrape and/or wire wheel it off and be ok. Also depends on how well the liner was applied. It may just flake off...

 

they make a areosal that makes the bed liner bubble and you can scrape it off

 

get a can of "carb cleaner" be careful when wiping it off. it should work

 

Mine is printed exept for 3 letters the bed liner looks like it was sprayed in pretty good (theres overspray everywere though) ill try a razor and carb cleaner when i get home and let ya know how it gose

 

Carb cleaner and a shirt took it off in about 5 seconds without damage now i can get a antique plate

yea and fills up the wire wheel with crap and may take the door tag off if its a sticker...
