"Popping" noise when turning.

I had a popping noise and feel when making turns, thought it was the king pin bearings. Got a knuckle service kit, did the work, still have the pop! Everything was done to spec, but I do have a 3" lift and 33"s. I know when you modify you change geometry, Anyone had the same problem?

Maybe tires rubbing. Or some kind of steering stop issue. Not 100% on solid axles...tires got chew marks in them? Like getting into your sheet metal?

No, its a pop like when you pop your knuckles but a light pop, but unlike us its metal on metal.

Birf looked good! I looked at everything, I wanted to be in there one time in ten years, thats it. Hate front ends. Did the brake pads; didn't even need it..

When I turn the wheel, about 20 deg. either way it pops. Like a bad bearing. But its not, just replaced them.

I don't think so; I can feel it in my feet when I turn. And it only happens when there's weight on the front. When I have it up on stands and turn the steering wheel, it doesn't do it.

I know my pop is the spring shackles twisting and torquing. So I will eventually replace front leaf/shackle bushings. Btw, mine seems to do it exactly as yours does. Mine will also do it just sitting still in a parking lot and moving the wheel back and forth.

Check your leaf spring and shackle bushings, and check your u-bolts!
