1993 Toyota 22RE sat for 2 years, trouble starting

This is my first thread. I recently received a 1993 toyota pickup with a 22RE, 5 speed, 2wd, with 139k miles. The truck was parked 23 months ago due to an ecu problem. I ordered an ecu off of ebay from a 91 22re 2wd for 20 bucks.

Upon inspection of the truck before trying to start it I found a rubber fuel line that was chewed threw by a mouse, a quick trip to autozone fixed that. I cleaned the throttle body, and got the rats nest out of the air box. I added gas to the tank and checked the oil and coolant levels. Installed the battery, and ecu, I turn the key enough for the fuel pump to kick on then tried to start her. But she didnt crank. Any ideas on what be the problem? Any help is much appreciated

I have been working on a 91 that has set about the same amount of time, the fuel pump was shellacked to the bottom of the tank and was not functioning, it didn't even have 2,000 miles on it, the pump I mean. Pull a line off the filter and see if you have fuel when you try to start it.

It doesn't crank as in nothing, no noise? silence? Check the starter.

There should be a brown clip that connects to the starter as well has the battery wire. Double check connections.

Do lights and buzzers come on with the door open and/or key in ignition?

Check all the fuses for burned out or missing.

The starter clicks, the lights on the dash come on, and the door rings. I'll check the fuel pump in a few. Thanks for the advice

Gas tanks are easy to drain on the early models. They have a drain plug on them. Fresh gas and perhaps some gas treatment.

The starter clicks? As in clicks but doesn't turn the engine over? If that's the case check your battery connections and charge. The truck will turn over even with a dead fuel pump.
