Recommendations on LSPV/Panhard length with OME 900 lift? '95 runner, 31's

hi all,

so i ordered my OME 900 coils with OME shocks (front & rear) and 1.5" BJ spacers for my '95 4runner 22RE and was wondering what length to get for the LSPV bracket and panhard bracket. the truck is on 31's.

i did a ton of research and read a few comments about people saying the 4" panhard bracket from 4crawler was a little too short. it also looks like the LSPV bracket from 4crawler comes only in a 2" lift.

anyone out there with similar trucks specs who has done this and can recommend lengths for the 2 brackets?

I am in the midst of doing this mod, actually. Was going to go with cruiser coils but decided on OME's for the rear and leave it at that. I've read a million posts here, on mud, on pirate, on some other lower traffic toy forums and the consensus I have come to is.... install them. Run them for a couple months, then measure the distance between each end of the panhard bar and the ground on level ground and determine the drop you need from there. In my experience the LSPV isn't as crucial as I have actually eliminated them on a few vehicles with little to no noticeable effect (although I can't say they were completely functional on all vehicles and on one I know for a fact it was seized up).

I'd run it and let it settle then go from there. There is a very good thread on 4crawlers website about measuring for the panhard drop. I also found a thread on here where many people saw many different results from his drop bracket with the same springs etc....

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116/panhard-drop-offset-213089/

That thread was mind boggling to me lol. I am kind of anal about my truck, only a little bit but having my rear axle offset an inch isn't something I'm into. I think in the very end measuring is the way to go. 4Crawler knows his stuff and will make it as exact as you can measure it.

Hope this helps

I have the OME medium rate coils (don't quote me on the number) and have done nothing to the Panhard bar and completely removed my LSBPV a couple years ago and have had no issues. Your results may vary.

Hey, wondering if you ended up getting either of these or noticed any difference? Just got my ome kit installed and the panhard is pretty uneven.

I know it's been a while

I installed the panhard months after going with the OME 900's. It seemed the axel shifted to one side and the horizontal angle was thrown way off. I could only guess dropping the axel houseing would be the proper way to get everything nice and straight.

hey man yeah i went with a 4" panhard and 2" lspv. my bar in the rear is level and the lspv is in a good position. you could probably skate by without either but my truck in my daily driver so i am glad i did it. interestingly enough my springs have stayed at pretty much the same length. a lot of people without panhard drops will say the springs will settle and the panhard will level. in my case my springs really never dropped. wheeled it a ton and they are still around the same height.
