92 4runner v6 auto incline problem

I've read similar problems to this but never had a solution to follow up on...my runner after driving up the mtns for awhile somehow loses all power. The speed just drops even if I manually down shift with floored gas peddle it feels like I'm being dragged to a stop. If I pull over and shut the car off or while its doing that I shut it off then restart its normal again for a few minutes of driving then does the same thing. Car does not have any codes only does this uphill on steep inclines. Have replaced fuel pump/filter cap rotor plugs no vacuum leaks cleaned egr timings on the mark. Any helpful solutions welcomed

Just curious how much gas is in your tank?? Did you need to replace the fuel pump bracket??

Have you had this since new??

Has it always done this but only on uphill grades??

it runs fine on the highway at normal speeds?

Wink

Have you checked the fuel pressure with a gauge??

I am thinking if this was electrical you would have a power loss at all times.
