Long story short, I hit a curb in the snow tonight. It was hard enough that it bent my rear passenger side wheel from the side, and the balance weight (point of impact) broke in half and bent the wheel in that spot:cry:

The tire slowly started to leak air, I made it home and put 2 cans of fix-a-flat cans in it, drove to the gas station and it seems to be holding so far. The allignment feels slightly off, but is that due to the bent wheel?

Also I can't seem to find these wheels (american racing) and I'm scared I'm going to have to buy all 4 new ones to match, new wheels aren't bad, but I don't have that kind of extra cash right now

Can someone post a link, or tell me a place that carries a wide selection of AR wheels, or if it's at all possible to fix a bent wheel?

I have the AR wheels with the rivet-looking things outside of the holes (basically the wheel you see on every truck, everywhere), and I wanted a 5th so I could do 5 tire rotations and not waste money on a spare every time I got new tires, and I just went to a junkyard and found one for cheap, polished it up, and you can't tell that it was from a different truck.

If you have extremely popular wheels, check a junkyard.

Quick update - I borrowed $1300 and ordered new AR Baja wheels with BF Goodrich 33x12.5 I don't need another loan, but it's for the best I guess

If anybody wants to buy 3 AR 15x8.5 wheels with 31x10.5 Super Sport tires, let me know. I will sell them very cheap + shipping Or if you want to buy just one to have as a spare

I bought a set of steelies from mhawker but they don't fit 'cause I'm a dumbass. I tried to make IFS wheels fit a solid axle truck :pat:

Yeah, but the inside of the rim is different on stock Toy rims. The rims from a solid axle truck are larger in diameter on the inside than IFS rigs.

 

Can you find a pic online of what the wheels look like? Try americanracing.com. I might be interested in on as a spare, depending on which ones they are.

Too bad that you bought ARs instead od American Eagle 058s. It could save you a lot of $$. One set of AEWC 058 at retail is probably less than ARs dealer cost, and service and warranty is just as good if not better.

No they look more like the Baja's that I'm getting.

If you're only going to use it as a spare I don't think they have to match perfectly, unless it's that important to you

 

Nah, one spare is enough for me right now. I would get one if it was the one I have and the price was right. I'll just get one when/ if I need one.
