2.5" ball joint spacers(need new shocks)

I installed 2.5" ball joint spacers in my 1992 toyota pickup ext cab pickup truck.

I plan on increasing the length of the rear shackle 2".

What would be a good pair of shocks to purchase front and rear? Im sure I would need to buy an extended pair.

My son has a '93 regular cab that we are in the process of fixing up. Would this kit be a good deal and only do the 1.5" and not crank the bars? This is the item number on Ebay:

Some companies advertise them as 2" or 2.5", but they're the same 1.5" spacers that everyone sells. It's just that you when you get them the instructions tell you to install them and then crank the T-bars a half inch or an inch, etc...to get the desired height. I just cranked my bars 1.5" but plan to install BJ spacers once I get the spare cash together. I used Samurai front shocks-Gabriel PN 61658

That's why I figured the kit on Ebay would work and give me the 1.5". Comes with the 4 shocks and leafs for the rear. Seem's like a decent price.

The shorter add-a-leaf will cause your springs to 'W' over time and will make it ride like crap.

Do you have to get new shocks if you get the spacers? or could you run the stock shocks?

I think you could, but you'd end up using the shock as a droop stop during full articulation and negate one of the benefits of the spacer-extended travel.
Just search for "bj spacer shocks" or maybe check out the "4runner lift guide" or something like that.
I went with Old Man Emu shocks, and without installing a diff drop kit I had to shim the droop stop so I didn't bind my cv's, so they're long enough.
