2001 4runner New Suspension install questions

Ok, This weekend I installed new Monroe quick struts up front, new rotors pad etc. In the rear I installed moog coil springs and monroe sensa track struts.

The ride is extremely improved but the front is a bit higher than the rear now. Im still getting adjusted to how much higher it is in the front now.

I drove it in the rain last night and it appeared to hydroplane a bit more than normal. My tires are worn out and Im fixing to replace them but was wondering if what I felt is because the front is higher than the rear now?? I can live with the subtle height difference but was wondering if any of you more experienced members have any suggestions?

I wouldn't consider myself an experienced member, but a lot of guys have been driving on sagging rear springs which would put the front higher than the rear. I haven't heard of this increasing hydroplaning risk.

Yea, I had read about that which is why I replaced the rear springs at the same time I changed out the shocks. It seems that after a few days that things are settling in a bit and not so apparent now.

Although I would say the height is a good 1.5 all around and they say the components I used were stock ride height haha.

I like how it turned out. Now to start swapping out some of these worn out bushings.

The added ride height in the front may be slightly throwing off the alignment? Leading to a little more hunting back and forth.

Gonna get it aligned soon and tires balanced. I have noticed that it's settled some now but it's still a lot higher. I have to step up to get in now lol. I love the ride. The quick struts work great and are easy to install as long as you use the cheap jack that the truck comes with to wedge between the frame and control arm. This takes the pressure of the strut making it easy.

Update: Got it aligned finally today and it dropped the front end down quite a bit and it feels more "stable" on the road now. Lovin the ride!

If the front's still higher, you can get some 10mm poly "trim packers" and put them above the rear springs to bring up the rear (and they're cheap), but ideally you'd return the MOOG's and spring for some OME 906's, they are the best spring for the rear of these things under 3" lift IMO, and only $160.

If I was an off roader I would but this truck is purely street to and from work and towing my jet ski. The MOOG's were only 36 bucks from advance auto with a discount code and now since the alignment the level looks spot on. I will try to post in a few minutes.

Looked at the alignment printout after and before. Total toe was 1.59! Goes to show the added lift grom the monroe quick struts. After total toe was 0.28.
