Antifreeze leak from pipe below sending unit

My 89 p/u with a 22RE engine, has an antifreeze drip where the heater hose pipe is bolted below the sending unit, located under the intake manifold. I can see it by opening the panel above the passenger tire & looking up. I want to change the O-ring first. The tube goes around the back of the block to a rubber hose. Can it be taken lose behind the block to lower the pipe and change the o-ring? What's the best way to do this? Hopefully that would stop the leak. Or can the whole tube be taken out? The dealer says they remove everything out of the way - very expensive.

red,

I need to replace the same o-ring. What did you wind up doing? I don’t want to remove the intake to get to it.

Thx,
