Have you looked at your spark plugs? Is there any clicking noise thats coming from the wires/plugs? Is your distributor in time?

Yeah. Plugs and wires is where you always start on misfires, because they are the easiest. Try that and then get back to us.

Have got the same problem with my 94 Surf/4runner (3vz-E...V6). Just recently purchaced off the sister, she recons she's had to rip the plugs out every 3 months and clean them ( 1 cylander seems to be fowling more than the rest ). Any explanation or idea's on a solution would be much appreciated... Cheers

Im guessing it was just a blocked injector, ran some injector cleaner through it and it seems to be coming right, still missing occasionally but 90% better. cheers for the advice..
