sky's birf eliminator vs TG chromoly birfs and shafts

Hey guys, Im looking at upgrading the front axle shafts in my 85 runner out of nescessity. Coming from the jeep world - u-joints make sense to me, but I'm looking for some real world experience on going with the sky's birf eliminator vs the TG or MarlinCrawler upgraded birfs and chromoly shafts.

Only reason I would lean to TG over Marlin is lifetime warranty - but I can be swayed depending on pro's and con's between any options out there.

Thanks in advance guys.

Pretty sure the marfields are marginally better than the stock birfield. The Eliminator kit is stronger than the marfields IIRC, but the strongest and best is still the longfield.

The Sky kit uses the spicer 760x, which is stock in dana 30's and older 44's (think 1960's)..
So that can tell you the strength...

You want chromoloy 30 spline birfs and axle shafts. The stock issue is where the birf and axle join, the splines neck down to 27 spline. At the diff and at the manual hubs it's 30 spline already.

All that other stuff is useless except on a mostly street driven rig with stock sized tires.
It's not a matter of it, but when.

If you want the best, you want Longs. I know that wasn't in your choices but that is the right answer. Best toyota shaft combined with arguably the best service in the industry. Its hard to go wrong there.

Toyota didn't design the front end to use a U-joint....go with the proven upgrades...
I won't get into the LongField vs. Dirty 30 debate. IMO both axles have proven themselves. I run Dirty 30's...
i would not just replace the birf's...

Looks like I'll be sticking with birfs :p

And really past that decision, it all comes down to personal preference for the most part no? They all seem to have a similar breakage torque and angle.
