WHAHAHAJR 1992 22RE 4x4 build or should I say rebuild

Starting the tear down for my head gasket. I ordered an upper gasket kit from Toyota. Also a new thermostat. Any tips would be nice on what else I may need. Thanks guys. Pics are coming. But this will be a slow process.

EDIT: CRAPPY CELL PHONE PICS COMING

Its currently at my work. The tear down begins. Parts will be in on Tuesday. I plan on sending the head to the machine shop Monday and get it back Tuesday.

Ordering a dual thermostat and gasket. Any one know what the difference between 90916-03079 and 90916-03070?

EDIT: okay after searching I ordered the 90616-03070 for the 22re

Talked to John at LCEngineering. I think I'm going with the Street Performer head. Should compliment my cam pretty good.

replace the timing chain anyways, it could go 5k miles after you do your HG or another 100k but better safe than sorry, takes only a little bit more elbow grease but worth it since your already in there

LOL thanks. Yeah even with a blown head gasket she still sparkles. At least the lighting appears that way.

not sure if im doing this right .ive done a few headgaskets .if you unhook the intake correctly you can take the head and intake off as one so you dont have to mess with it pull as assy.and your that far a timing gasket sets like 12 bucks .it will make sure theres no oil leaks also
